Individual Counselling

Individual counselling offers a private, one-to-one space providing you with the opportunity to slow things down, discuss what’s happening in your life, and focus on what matters most to you right now.

Sessions are delivered with a motivational and empowered focus, and you can be confident in knowing they will be paced in the right way for you. You are not expected to have everything worked out before you begin — counselling can be a place to think, reflect, and take steps forward in a way that feels manageable.

Individual counselling support

Benefits of individual counselling

Individual counselling delivered via telehealth offers both focused personal support and practical flexibility, making it easier to engage consistently and meaningfully in the counselling process.

  • A private, one-to-one space focused entirely on you and your needs
  • The ability to attend sessions from a location that feels comfortable and familiar
  • Greater flexibility, reducing barriers such as travel, time constraints, or fatigue
  • Support to understand stress, anxiety, and emotional responses as they arise
  • Practical strategies to support regulation and coping between sessions
  • Improved consistency and continuity of care through easier attendance
  • An approach that recognises both emotional wellbeing and physical experience
  • A collaborative process that supports confidence, clarity, and a sense of agency

Working individually allows sessions to be paced according to your needs, with space to reflect, build skills, and apply insights to everyday life.

Session options

You can choose a single session, or 5-session packs are available if you would like more continuity and structure.

Single session

A flexible option if you would like to begin with one session, or if you are seeking targeted support around a specific issue.

  • Good first step if you are unsure where to begin
  • Useful for gaining clarity or decision-making
  • Allows you to assess fit before committing to ongoing sessions
  • Option to continue afterward if you choose
Recommended for momentum

5-session pack

Designed for women who want more structure, continuity, and support over time. This option allows space to build skills, reflect between sessions, and return with progress you can build on.

  • More continuity — less “starting over” each time
  • Supports clearer goals, skill-building, and follow-through
  • Encourages accountability and consistency
  • Space to practise strategies between sessions and review what worked
  • Reduced per-session rate, with payment details confirmed during booking

5-session packs are valid for use within 3 months of purchase to support continuity and momentum.

Are Individual sessions suitable for you?

Individual counselling may suit women who:

  • Feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally depleted
  • Are navigating the impacts of trauma or adversity
  • Feel disconnected from themselves or uncertain about next steps
  • Want support that is respectful, collaborative, and paced according to your needs
  • Value both reflective conversation and practical strategies

Exercise and movement as part of counselling

Exercise and movement can support the counselling process. Where appropriate, sessions may include optional movement-based strategies to support nervous system regulation, assistance with symptoms, grounding, and reconnection with self.

This is not an exercise programming service. Movement or exercise is offered as a supportive option, informed by research and professional experience, and guided by your preferences and comfort.

FAQs

Do I need to know what to talk about before I book?
No. You can begin with what feels most present right now. We can clarify goals and direction together as we go.
How do I choose between a single session and the 5-session pack?
A single session is a good first step if you want to try counselling or focus on one concern. A 5-session pack may suit you if you want more structure, continuity, and time to build and practise strategies.
Can I start with one session and switch to the 5-session pack later?
Yes. Many women begin with one session and then decide whether they would like more consistent support.
How often will I need sessions?
It depends on your needs and goals. Some women prefer weekly support at first, and others choose sessions spaced further apart. We can discuss what feels most helpful.
Why is there no direct debit option for the 5-pack of counselling sessions?
Direct debit is not offered for the 5-pack of counselling sessions to maintain clarity, fairness, and ethical boundaries for both clients and the practice. Upfront payment helps secure appointment times, reduces late cancellations, and allows sessions to be offered consistently.

This approach also avoids ongoing financial commitments that may feel stressful or restrictive, allowing you to choose session options that suit your needs at the time of booking.

Is telehealth confidential and secure?
Yes. Sessions are delivered via Zoom (a secure telehealth platform) in a professional setting where privacy is protected and conversations cannot be overheard.
What if telehealth doesn’t suit me?
Telehealth may not suit everyone. If it is not the right fit, I can support you to consider alternative counselling options that may feel more appropriate for your needs.
Do I need a referral, GP plan, or diagnosis?
No referral or diagnosis is required. This is a private counselling service.
Can movement be included even if I’m not “fit”?
Yes. Movement options are always optional and guided by your comfort. They are not exercise training — they are simple, supportive strategies that can help with regulation and reconnection.
